Feature
Broadcast Private Messages from a Group Chat
Sometimes you need to share something with group members privately — without posting it in the group chat where everyone can see it. ChatCript's broadcast feature lets you send the same message as individual 1:1 chats to selected group members.
How to Send a Broadcast Message
Step 1: Open any group chat.
Step 2: Long-press the send button (bottom-right corner).
Step 3: A dialog appears listing all group members (except you) with checkboxes — all selected by default.
Step 4: Uncheck any members you don't want to message.
Step 5: Type your message in the text field and tap send.
Step 6: A progress indicator shows delivery status. Once complete, you'll see a confirmation.
What Recipients See
Each recipient receives the message in their personal 1:1 chat with you, prefixed with a bold label: "📢 1:1 private broadcast for group "Group Name"". This makes it clear the message originated from a group broadcast.
When to Use Broadcast
- Sending meeting reminders privately to selected members.
- Sharing sensitive information that shouldn't be in the group chat.
- Sending personalised messages based on group context.
- Following up individually after a group discussion.
